On that CEA2214 stamping,the letter "A" indicates it is a late production replacement block.
Flint started numbering 00001-19999 and once they hit 19999,they reused the numbers starting back at 00001,this time adding the leter "A" to indicate this. ------------------- "On The Move" |

Colvin calls casting# 3970014 "the mystery motor" because they are so rare.
I have one out of a 1973 Chevelle.
