I think the guy with the Fred Gibb shirt on was Dick Harrell. That guy is pretty darn thin.

Hey Hoss, compared to you, everybody's thin!

Could be Dick,........... or Fred, or.... If you zoom in it looks like he's wearing a red jacket over the red shirt. Depends on when the picture is dated. Is that the '71 S&M car? If so, and if I see what I think I do (some gray hair), then I would have to say it's Fred.

Someone should have an answer soon!

If the Plymouth lettering is gold leaf, then it was the fall of '70 when the '70 car had been changed to '71 taillights & grill. If it is silver leaf, then it is the '71 car which first appeared at Pomona.

O.K., I checked with my friend Dean Klein. He is THE Sox & Martin historical expert IMHO. First, Dean says that the car is Ronnie's '71 pro stock car, and, the event might have been one that Ronnie had told him about. It seems that the week before Indy, there was a promotional event where the drivers all drove other people's cars. Dick Harrell drove Ronnie's Cuda! That might explain what's going on in the picture.
