Sounds like the case may have broken and been replaced, but the original side cover, and possibly tail were reused. Yes, the case casting dates are in circles on the right side. Month and day in circles, and the year raised to the right. Verne |

Verne, The letters and dates in cirles are F ,B, 21. There are two that are not in the cirles. They are 2 and 62.

The letters F,B and 21 together don't make sense to me. They're not typical of what I'd expect on an early T10D-1 case. The 2-62 can't be a '62 date because that case didn't come out until August of '62. The only thing I can be certain of is the stamped assembly date.
