It is not really that rare. I passed on one for $1800 two years that was NOS and still in the box. It was at a swap in Ohio and it may actually be the same sign.
The cracked/yellowed signs usually bring $700-$1300. Sometimes the plastic simply cracks from age and poor storage comditions. I have passed on several over the years. IMO.. Seller should have come off the reserve. That looks like good $$ to me. |

I paid about 1900.00 for mine about 8 months ago and it is in similar condition. 1800.00 for a NOS one would be a steal....
