........and what ever you do, heed the warnings about NOT parking in the dips in the road. Flash floods in the middle of the desert are deadly! If you have ever heard and then witnessed a 10' wall of water rushing down a wash in the middle of the desert, you will have a new found appreciation for them! I laughed at my brother when he warned me about them. I am no longer laughing.

The storm lasted until 4am this morning(AZ time).

In certain areas, washes were overflowing (Chandler, Glibert, Mesa) power lines and trees are down everywhere

Rick is right about the washes. There are a few deaths every year in this area...from people who don't heed the warnings

Rick,

I've heard about that flash flood phenomenon before, but I
have no frame of reference. Coming from PA & NJ, it's not
something we see there. What kind of warning ( time-wise )
do you get? Really, a ten foot wall of water?!
