Cool car. Just for my info as I have seen some Copo Corvettes.(Most due to a non standard color combination).
What made him think it had to be special ordered thru the Central Office? It seems to have RROs and standard colors? |

Nice car! .
Since he has the tank sticker, shouldn't there be no wondering if it's a Copo or not? . ~ Pete

Your right tank sticker should show COPO options.

Tank stickers are often not completely readable. Could be the upper right corner is not clear or even completely missing. I do agree that when the possibility of COPO/F&SO is mentioned, that person should be ready to back up the claim. Tim Thorpe is well regarded in the Corvette community and I would be interested in why he thinks it may be a COPO. My guess is the indication of RPO J56 makes him think that. There were 80 L88s with that 'mandatory' heavy duty brake option in 68. Most believe that although it was an RPO, it was only available when RPO L88 was specified. Records indicate 81 J56 Corvettes produced. Is this the only non L88 car to come with this option?

the only reason Gary put that in his listing is because Tim Thorpe sugested that it could be..but since Thorpe Restorations still has most of the documentation, they should know.....thanks for everyones input on this

Due to extreme high interest in this vehicle, owner has rethought this over and vehicle is no longer on the market.
