Only thing I found was on Moparts

US131 F.A.S.T. / Pure Stock Races

There were two 69 Chevelle 300 Deluxe post cars there. One SS396, one 350 / 300 horsepower car. The elcheapo 300 horse car was running 12.70-12.80's. Flat awesuuuum!!

I was looking for Rob but I heard he had trouble with his tow rig?? That sucks........

On the pure stock side Copo Pete beat Jimmy Johnsons Corvette, but Pete lost out to Bob K. in a Hemi Barracuda. Wayne Nelson was the fastest F.A.S.T. car with a 10.79. He was able to power past everyone, even when he got loose on the starting line.

My first event and I can't believe the calibre of cars that were in attendance.Best show/race I've ever been to.Local car shows just won't be the same anymore.
Met great people and had a fantastic time.

Glad you all liked the lamb kabobs!

Just wait till Stanton! We'll get the parking lot party to another level.

Hey Benoit.......I'm gonna work on my burnouts.

Thanks to all that made my weekend so memorable!

Bruno,

Great to meet you and I am glad that you had a good time! I have always wanted to park close to Pete and JJ (for the beer), but you are making the pull of the Canadian group too much to stay away from!!! Great looking/ running car and the kabobs were excellent. At this race, I have realized that you start out coming to race, but the friends, food, and fun are what you really remember out of the event! (I hate to say this out loud, but I think that the bulk of my 'friends' are in the the parking lot!)

Even though it was hot (yes, even by Missouri standards it was hot!) the car ran the best times that it has ever run at one of these events! [email protected] during Friday T-n-T. 13.46 @102.7 during eleminations in 93 degree heat!! Travel over 700 miles just to get paired up with your traveling buddy in the shootout! I ran aganst Steve Hodges '70 440+6 'Cuda and took him out in 2 rounds. I believe that we have slated a rematch at KCIR sometime this summer! The car weighed in at 4177# and I still am running the 3.23 gearing!
