I think I have a copy of it somewhere, I mainly focus on the page that has the LT1 Prototype Nova. I will search for the rest of it. I recall that it had Chevelles, Monte's, Vette's etc....

After digging through my literature,I believe the original 1970 Long Lead Press Preview was held sometime in mid August,1969.Editors also make this implication in some of the car mags from that same time.

If these are the same pictures you have,of the 1970 Z/28,I believe they were taken at Riverside,Calif. in early January 1970.There is also a red/Black striped car tested later on.The plates show 12M500 1969 Michigan, but this was the track they tested it at due to the Midwest winter at that time. ![]() |

All these were rolled up in the original shipping carton to the waiting Dealership here in Illinois.

Rick,
Yes, the test at Riverside is the one that I am refering to. You are also correct that the reason that it was held at Riverside was that it was "winter" back east... Although I don't know what the actual date was. What makes you believe that this was held in January rather than, say, November or December? I appreciate the follow up... Thanks for your interest. Regards, Stan |
