442w30,

I saw that RG SS near Westchester County Airport on King Street last Friday evening. Sounded healthy!

Sorry to hi-jack here... I think that RG '69 is an all original SSL78 car. Steel wheel/poverty caps and a 4spd. I believe its got chambered exhaust but I cannot remember for sure. Last I saw it was about 2.5 yrs back

I did a quick whiplash check and it had no black rear panel, so I bet it was a SS350. No RS either.

Car's been repainted. Look at the hood hinges.

As this is a 67, the cowl tag should answer all the questions, no?

No sh*t it's been repainted...it's a black car...still black halfway inside the fenders as far as that goes...the original link speaks all about the color change if you read it!

The solenoid is not a solenoid it is a TH400 kickdown switch.

Oops...kickdown switch then, but still neatly installed for a shadetree. I'm sort of perplexed by the idea of going to the trouble of swapping in a 427 when the original 396 wasn't enough and not adding headers to the 427 while you're at it. I bet it's a stock 396/325 with a 163 L78/L72 type intake and carb setup. That's something that was easily added without disturbing the original exhaust configuration, which is likely why it remains. Somebody just get that car and open it up already, and we'll see what ya got.
