Yep replaced the hoses immediately... one thing I am not going to mess around with is the ability to stop a ton and a half of metal...
Brakes are essential... LOL used to think differently... older and wiser now though!!!

Put the heads on but couldn't get a correct set of intake gaskets nor could I get a clutch today... so the engine will have to wait to be reinstalled for a few more days... or a week... will post the photos of the assembled block and the headers in a little while!

After a few week hiatus dealing with the GF's car wreck and other LIFE CRAP... we got back to the important stuff this afternoon...




Gonna adjust the valves and put the intake, water pump, and harmonic balancer on before painting the engine we may try to put her back in tomorrow... I would love to Fire it tomorrow... we'll see

Same here. On the T/A I carefully removed the originals, noted the markings and then put them in plastic bags for posterity. Even the original date coated fuel and emission lines as well.
