Peter, fantastic offer!
Thank you!
Shoot everything, you'll want em anyway, right?
Pics of the new harnesses layed out on the ground, kinda as it would go in, pics of the harness routing and attachment. I have the engine and lighting, need dash and rear. pics of every switch and connection. Especially dash stuff, i have the underhood and trunk from my 68, although variety is always good. Options, too... A/C, I have 69 pics but not 68. Power windows, power top...

I'll happily take whatever you have. You can email them to me, or burn em on a cd, I'll pay the postage.

sYc mod, if you guys would like a permanent link to this reference, it's not a problem. I'll always have it in my space where it is now, and shortly will be copying it to Team Camaros techref section as well.

And for Bob, yup, Yorkville is near the edge of known civilization, no doubt... but I love my acre of pines and maples, can only see my neighbors if I look hard, and we got lotsa nice smooth 2 lane roads out here... Niles, huh? that's like, almost in the city!

Close as you can get to the city !! Right on the border ! ...it has it's moments ! I have to drive a few hours to get to my acre of needles and Oaks ! No clear 2 lanes to lean on anything around here....so I just do it anyway !!

Great effort. Just one favor to ask:
Please mark your photos (when appropriate) with "repro harness" or something similar to indicate it isn't original. I appreciate some of the repro stuff, but I've yet to see a repro harness that is right. Close, yes, and adequate most of the time.
Some wire colors, insulation thickness, terminal shrink, etc just aren't right. Tiny details, I know.
One of my pet peeves is photographs of components, engines, etc. that say "original" or somehow are supposed to be a correct example when, in fact, they are restored or repro. It's not a problem except when it is supposed to be an example of a benchmark or correctness. Confuses the heck out of some - me included.

Good point Dave, and I'll be sure to do that. I also need to add a lot more examples as well as cover all three years.

FYI, what's there now is from 2 cars, my 68 (these are the pics with the rad support painted blue) The electrical componants on this car are "restored original" I retaped the harnesses after cleaning, and assembled according to the AIM. The other car (black underhood) is a "driver quality 69 RS, and may have some discrepencies from original.

This project started as part of my being electrical mod, mostly for the purpose of helping guys with no clue make their cars function.

I'd love to see it turn into a restoration guide, tho I'm not sure I want to "carry that baggage", there are so many opinions as to whats right.

Part of my reasoning in posting this here is the hope that I will gather more pics of "original survivor" and correectly restored cars.

'Course then you get into that it can be real hards to see wire colors and stuff on the "survivor cars" and the ole "are we sure it's right" on the restored cars.

I have maybe another hundred pics I need to put together and get online. Unfortunately many of the pics I'm sent include little verbage and details, such as the questions you are asking.
