One thing I can tell you for sure is that rates are way up due to the cost of fuel. All the carriers I recently spoke to are charging a 20-30 fuel " surcharge ". For example the best deal I could find last month Atlanta to L A for an enclosed carrier was $2500 ! And it's going to get worse.

Wow...I paid less than half of that using Intercity to transport my Chevelle from Illinois to Phoenix

I don't have to worry about it for a while now as the seller changed his mind about getting rid of the car.
