What happened to the little ears that position the air cleaner body on the carb? It looks like the were cut off.

I really have no idea. Besides the blasting, this is how it came to me. I am fairly ignorant when it comes to the details of these air cleaners. I can grab some close ups if you like.

Yep, that's it. They were cut off. Those might be pretty hard to replicate.

Is there any reason to replicate them? It would be much harder to replicate the rest of the air cleaner
