I keep waiting for someone to post something on a regional sole mag called "Marbec" that was made in the Dallas area back in the mid 60's. I am not positive about my spelling of this wheel but feel the name is very close.

Every time I was down there to visit my Mother who remaried and moved to FtWorth in '62. I went to the local drive-in's and saw them on many local cars often. Good looking wheels but the only thing wrong with them was you had to change the tires by hand back then. The centers were all one piece and not open and there was no "removable center cap".

This should ID them easy if anyone has come across a deep dish cromed spoked wheel ET styled. They were a deep dish 5 spoke mag. Never saw any without the deep dish. Anybody remember them?

I am going to jump in here and add to the fun. I just sold a 1964/65 Cragar booklet which was perfect for this thread. Most of my stuff is post 1967 but nontheless, enjoy!

First a Fenton Wheel Catalog from 1970...

1967 Nickey Wheels...

Motion Performance 1969...

Cut out from 1967 Motor Trend...

Cut out from 1970 Hot Rod...

I have some others in the mail so as they come in, I will post them here. Enjoy.

Great stuff!
I'd better get a camera and learn how to post my own. I've got a ton of old catalogs.
Anybody have a pic of the Cragar Sport mag? (not the Super Sport). Aluminum center spokes and a chrome rim. Those are the mags I put on the '62 with the slicks in '69. (still have them, and they're like new).

Dan, that green M/T ad was in the April, 1967 Hot Rod. That would make a great garage poster wouldn't it?

Another wheel ad from the May, 1965 HRM is for the Rebel wheel.
