Stefano,
I have not seen the rocker molding holes drilled but I have seen at least two converts (Van Nuys and Baltimore) with the upper trim holes were drilled and lead filled in both the doors and the quarters for malibu trim. One is a confirmed original sheet metal car the other had extensive body work done but still appeared to be original sheet metal. I know this does not directly answer your question but there may be some corrolation between the two.

Very interesting, as one is a Van Nuys car and another Baltimore built.
