Kim, here's a link to a frame-off resto w/ excellent detail shots. Haven't checked out his paperwork though? ~ Pete

I bought you a pair of L79 exhaust manifolds for blackie today, Kim (really) - Brought them home in the back of the 25k mile, untouched 71 El Camino (belts, hoses, spare, tires, engine paint, bed, etc., etc., completely untouched and new) I bought. It is unreal and very mint. Also very ugly with lime green, white CO8 and green interior!!!

And just what kind of logic is this, anyway, I ask myself. I pass on a black/black L79 with the factory invoice and buy a citrus green 71 Elky?????? Of course, the Elky is in one piece.....

Back in the early 70's there was a guy in my part of NY who raced a 1965 maroon L-79 car at Dover Drag Strip. He was brutal with that car and beat the crap out of it...he didn't lose very often and was a terror on the local streets. Man, that was along time ago
