Re: 70 SS Wheel paint
Years ago I sent a 70 Camaro jack base to PPG in Cleveland, OH for anaylis as the jack & base appeared to be same color.
PPG came up with a formula number 35517, either in DAU or DAR (DAR they commented, that DXR-80 must be used in color) FYI The front of 70-74 Z-28 wheels is painted with DDL 32961 LAQUER ONLY No Clear Coat.....Not Very Durable, Will Deteriate with scrubbing and washing. I had a 70 Z-28 new and expereinced this..............
