I recall reading an article many years ago (mid 80's) about either the Arizona State Patrol or Nevada State Patrol using a Superbird as a Highway Patrol Vehicle. the article may have been in an early Muscle Car Review or Mopar Muscle mag of that era. Did I dream this or does any one else recall the article or actual recollections of such a car from either of those states. Further recollection seems either the nose or wing was removed for duty. Any comments?

I remember the article saying it was an interceptor used in New Mexico, it had fixed headlights and plexi glass covering the headlight openings. I beleive it was a 440 4BBL and had some VERY tall highway gears.
