Very sure that EBAY ad (with my picture of Jack Seymour's (old/sold) Citrus Car with Real/Original Clip) is not Buddy's given the Chicago location of seller. This very rare part was unheard of a couple of years ago, until Carlisle LEGENDS judging on Jacks in 2004.
I paid $150 for used Original, after seeing a couple on EBAY sell for upwards of $300. Now several GOOD repops are available, including the above one from Buddy.
Dont know how the judges at Carlisle, will/can recognize and acknowledge (points) the real ones.....but glad the repops are available for those wanting complete restos.....

Hopefully there is NO difference. That's the point. The pics above are a comparison of a USED ORIGINAL, and the NEW one's.

Buddy..I didn't think it was your auction. I was wondering if someone bought one of yours and was trying to sell it. Jack showed me one of yours . Very nice. No way I could tell it from an original.

That appear's to be what's happening. I'm keeping track of everyone that has purchased one(quite a few so far), but I'm NOT going to accuse anybody. It's bound to happen. Ebay is a free marketplace to sell your "stuff". It was purchased by somebody, and now it's their's to sell.

Buyer beware..

His auction does NOT state that's it's ORIGINAL, but rather that it was "Originally used on"..blah blah blah. It's up to the buyer to READ the wording in the auction.

I emailed the guy and asked if they are original eguipment. Here is his response.
James

I wasnt aware that there were any reproduction clips out there. If you know where to buy them reproduction, I would go that route. It will save you a few hundred $$$

Dont believe there is/was any logo or part # on original (no room/too small) so will be next too impossible to distinguish ORIGINAL from new repop......but time will tell on this subject!!!!!
Certain other spring steel clips and brkts like fuel line supports and PCV Aircleaner clips etc etc have part #'s stamped and logos which have NOT been reproduced on the clone parts......
