I thought it was later too but think I read somewhere once that it was before? . Also last weeks posting of this months ZL1 feature car that has a 'Yenko' one in it sounds like he may have put it in soon after he got it when he set the orig motor aside? ~ Pete

So thar means there were originaly 1,492 aluminum 427 blocks produced in 1969? Just curious

I believe all ZL-1 were cast in 69, I dont know about Yenko. These blocks were sold thru 1973. Does your block have a Winters mark on the front, or a Yenko mark?

Where can I find some detailed information about Yenko/ZL-1.
I just bought a 68 Camaro with an all aluminum engine in it with Yenko cast into the block. It came with all the original Yenko receipts for the engine when it was bought new in 1978, but I would like to find out some more information if possible.
