The Ferraris are capable of 19,500 rpm, and somewhere in the neighborhood of 900 HP from 3.0 litres! WOW. Great video I missed it the other night.

I had a layover at Long Beach two years ago during the week prior to the grand prix. My room was on the 5th floor overlooking the front straight. 8:00 in the morning and:
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! An F1 car came out of the pits and past the hotel at well over 150. I jumped outta' bed and yanked open the curtains and just saw him, pop-off valve booming like a cannon as he decelerated for the hairpin. That sound is incredible. Every time he came past the hotel it was like armegeddon. |
