Man, I loved the 91 454SS I had. But I couldn't take the gas mileage so I sold it. Are you sure that truck has an overdrive trans? The 90 model had the 3 speed automatic with 3.73 gears stock and the 91-93 had the 4L80E overdrive trans with 4.10 gears. The conversion to the 4L80E couldn't have been cheap to do with an accompanying controller.

Your right it has a TH400 and Gas Mileage truly sucks.

I actually got 14 mpg driving out to the GM at Carlisle that summer cruising at 70 mph. I just had to meet Charley in person!
Actually, I wanted to check out the Mule and see the 35th Camaro introduction. But that was a fun truck!

Speaking of fuel consumption problems, I did a bi-fuel Natural gas/Gasoline conversion for a customer on one of these when new...worked great and the guy was super happy!.
Hmmmm...I wonder what ever happened to it and if I still have the Vin?. ![]() ~ Pete
