Looks like one of those aftermarket consoles from one of the Hot Rod advertisers of the 60's. Kind of like the racing helmets that looked hats.

Looks English? . I had a Jensen Interceptor that was similar but not quite that big and clunky? . Looks almost like you could use it on a big Wing type bike and use the console lid for a seat? . I still think it's from the Jupiter 2....Mr. Smith, Mr. Smith!!! ~ Pete

If that's an ashtray in front of the armrest, it's likely from an old Jag, or some other Brit car. They loved to smoke and drive back then, and not have to reach for a dash mounted ashtray.
