Was there more than one Red Alert Chevelle or was there 71/72 nose and bumper changes to the 70 car? ~ Pete

This is my first car and I never let it go. I hope I don't let it go and want it back because it's a sinking, lonely feeling . . .

Pete,
--------Red Alert is, of course, a 1970 and to date has never had the nose loose. The confusion comes from AMT. AMT never saw Red Alert until sometime in 1971. Since they had already changed the 1970 model molds over to the 1971 design and were too cheap to change the mold back they made the model as a 1971. Bob was a little miffed over it but he was such an easy going guy he said OK.........Bill S |
