Briggs Chevelle Sells for $1,150,000

I bought it. Had to scrape up all my change on this one.

Just kidding guys. Don't know the guy but he had deeper pockets than I.

I'm glad to have played a small, but important part in supplying photos to help decal the car and most of the literature you saw displayed with the car.

Looked like Ray Allen was happy and he surely enjoyed being a part of the sale.

I predicted it would do $1,000,000 back in November which many thought it would never bring. The LS6 convertible record has hit a new all time high. Congrats to the seller and the new owner.

Hope we can convince him to bring the car to the York US30 show to meet up with the Jack Werst and the 5/50 Superbird this Summer.

Have to admit Kevin and I will be the first to say you were right. I really never thought it would get over 500K mark. anyway congrats to the seller and the new owner

$1,242,000 with the 8% buyer's premium. Seems like a relative bargain given the extensive race history and the prices for the Hemi Cuda converts. without any race history.

I'm not familiar with the total race history of this car, but this was part of the platform the car was presented with over and over--------------On National TV??---Hell of a place to start making things up....

AD---One of the commentators-Steve M. stated that one of the big 3 , maybe Chrysler, had actually put together a special car to try and take the ALLEN LS-6 out---Like a hired gun--I thought that was pretty

I'm thinking it was one of the winged cars...the race never happened. There's a post on here somewhere about that...I'll see if I can find it.
