I was in a auto-x that had a 100 ft skid pad and my 69 motion with the auto tranny pulled 1g where as the Pantera was just behind it as second fastest at .96 Before someone says that is not much just remember, this was back in 1978 when we could not get the quality of tires that are out there today.

The Tires were a problem, I was running the BFG 50 TA, with great results. John Greenwood was under contract with BFG in the 70's running a different size on front & rear, with good results. Ck articles on greenwoodcorvettes.com Thanks for the info.
