Yup both the BM camaro and the six shooter are built by Time machines right in my home town.I seen both very personally.IMHO neither car is worth over 100K.I think there was some hanky panky going on with both bids.I agree with all its not fair how much time they spent on the BM car but others not.Very shady!

[/ QUOTE ]

Again...does ANYONE know why the 6-shooter was sold TWICE???

I mentioned to a friend I thought B-J might have to consider getting away from "no reserve" and his answer was "how can they go backwards".

Good answer...what does everyone else think?

[/ QUOTE ]

There was talk among the commentators , that the list of no reserve cars was so long that even if you were selling a car with a reserve, the no reserves were given preference and they filled the list of cars to be shown.---It was a bottom line thing---But if you have people who are willing to go for it , it's money in the bank for BJ-----I think the six shooter went for a little less money the second time around.....

It's my understanding that you can't even get a bidders pass unless you have either the money or financing up front. So the deal didn't fizzle because of a 'no-money' issue.

Unless the bidder had already bought a car and didn't have any money left! I don't know the details, but they said there was a problem with the original auction and the deal couldn't be closed so they ran it through again. It bid over $170K the first time and I think $132K the second time.

True...but everyone has a credit limit, well maybe not everyone

MBNA is the only card B-J accepts and their minimum credit line is $30K.

Possibly the 1st buyer of the 6-shooter went over his limit.
Still, the seller probably wasn't too happy about going off @ 3:30 on Sunday...and for $40K less.

At R&S auction you automatically get a bidders pass if you consign a car with them. They do not ask for any credit info. Not sure how it works with consigners at Barret.
