I hope they just make it, so you think of the old days, and see some things that are very much alike.. Retro is fine, but for example what is Ford to do after they have made this beautiful mustang and want to change style, go retro with 74- UP?? that will be a hit..

Think new, think out of the box, make somthing that clearly is a camaro, but something new...

Thats my opinion..

Why can't I get this link to open?

Every time I click the link it takes me to a R&T default page.

I even tried copying/pasting the link, same thing.

They need to make the grill opening wider and lessen the front V effect. The roof line looks great. Charley. can i come out of the corner yet? Roger

I just cant fugure it!

You'd think GM would be listening to the chatter in the websites like this and get a clue as to get there feet out of the mud and get on it!

I have been watching FIRD and Dudge get great results in the design appearances, and wonder just who is it that is not understanding all of this over there at GM!

Has there ever been any GM corporate people here cruising the site offering answers to us all as to why they are just soooo behind in ALL of this???

If they would listen to us all and take the steps we suggest, then we wouldnt be hammering them in print so often...
My "HeartBeat" has faded in the past 20 years on a majority of the current releases given...

One day maybe we will get back what we all desire from them!

Okay so the Camaro concept doesn't look like a true "retro" car........so what. Did the 4th generation Camaro look at all like a 1969 Camaro? No but we all embraced that car and mourned it's passing. Personally, if they build this concept as shown I'll be the first in line because I can see the styling cues from othe Camaros. I'd much rather have a car produced that shares some of the heritage of it's past without copying it to a tee.
Who can't see the similarity in the grille to a 1969? Or the trim in front of the rear wheels, similar to the 1969? The cowl induction hood or even the similarity in the tail lights to a 1968 RS?
I for one like the concept and, while it doesn't look as much like a 1969 Camaro as some would have hoped, I applaud GM for proposing a beautiful car that incorporates styling cues from the past with all of the latest performance enhancements.

And for those of you who might say, “Well, the Challenger has 35 hp more,” I would just reply that we have a certified 100 more on tap from the Z06 engine, should the need arise.

All in fun. I think Chrysler will be ready. From the Allpar website!

There are rumors that the new 392 Hemi crate engine, designed for racing, will go along with the new Dodge Challenger body. The 392 is apparently a racing-only engine in current form, not a production design, but a lower-power version may well be made for production and appear in the Challenger. The Challenger concept car to be shown at NAIAS (Detroit, January 2006; the Camaro will also be shown) uses, not surprisingly, the SRT-8 6.1 liter engine — but, unlike any current production LX car, it also has a six-speed manual gearbox. (Automobile suggested that the 510 horsepower 6.4 liter 392 Hemi might be used.) There are issues with the 392 - most notably the question of what untrained drivers will do with that much power. A fairly large number of Vipers left this world unexpectedly
