You know, I used to hate this color combination and opted
for what I have: Hugger Orange w/ black vinyl & D90 stripes.
However, as time has gone by, I have become more and more
fond of the HO & white vinyl & D90 stripes. What does that
say? Getting old?

One other question about this image. This car has the
1/4 louver chrome inserts, so why doesn't it have bright
drip rail molding?

The striker was installed prior to painting the trunk lid (norwood built), therefore it is body color. Regarding the stripe, I will look for better pics but my car is in a car bag for the winter. The stripe extends an additional 1 inch. I will send you some close ups in the spring. I may bring the car to the All GM/Camaro nationals June 23-25, lets hook up then.

Steve,

This was exactly the scanario we ran into years ago about
the "shake-n-bake bag" and winter storage. When you
finally pulled it out of the bag, you sold it. My timing
was a little off. I hope to see it in person this time.

Lastly, I hope you can locate those images.

Good eye...It SHOULD have the drip rail mouldings as well.

The stripe extended onto the fender ext at least thru mid November of 68. My car has this and the build date was 11B. It had the original paint on it when I purchased it in 1980. 6 cylinder with hockey stripe did not have a break in the stripe for engine designation, only V8's.

Mike,

Can you get a close-up image of the front fender detail
and post it here? I'm primarily interested in the detail
from the engine displacement emblem down to the bottom.

Here is a pic of my original paint L-78 Camaro. Notice where the stripe starts and the break at the emblem.

Here is an ad from late 69 showing the stripe extending on to the fender extension.
