Default Re: original fiberglass crossram hoods

The original hoods are made just as the corvette pieces were. They are press molded. Meaning that both sides are smooth. The hairs are clearly visable just as a FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester) panel from a mid sixtes to 71 corvette panels are.
If you would like you could post or e-mail me pictures of them. And I'll compare them to the original hood I am restoring. I might be able to help you make a better determination if they are real.
