Type in Gary Dyer!!! [/ QUOTE ] A little know fact about Gary Dyer was that he was a 37 Ford Junkie.......he hoarded 37 parts and cars and knew everything about them ......back in 85 I was building a 37 flatback and needed a rear fender, called Gary and went over to the Blower shop....he spent half the morning with me showing the differences between the humpback and flatback fenders......A "TRUE" Gentleman.........and yes I did buy a fender from him.....one of many he had..... Camarojoe created a monster!
![]() I developed a new appreciation for people that collect stuff like this. Unlike general Chevrolet stuff, dealer specific memorabilia is VERY hard to find especially when you limit it to just one city and the immediate surrounding area. The NOS dealer decals are definitely the hardest items to find. Unlike emblems that you can find in a junk yard it is very hard to find dealer decals that have NOT been stuck on a car. About 98% of Chicago area dealers used decals after the 1950's. SORRY to hijack this thread! Tom, I think this would be a very cool thing to do since a good majority of the sYc members are from around the Chicago area. We also had some of the most noted dealers in our back yard! ![]()
