There were no numbers held back in the lists that we have published here on this site. If a legit car is found and the vin is not on our list, that will not be a huge surprise. That is the reason for the disclaimer on our lists.
Our sources consisted of old handwritten paperwork that contained honest errors, not to mention that some of this paperwork had been copied many times and the numbers were barely legible. It seemed silly to refrain from publishing this wealth of info due to some illegible entries - so we included a disclaimer to let people know to use the information contained in the lists as a guide. The individual car and it's history will tell the most accurate story.

This particular Yenko Camaro/is the real Deal and was not on the inventory sheets. Even though it was in a trailer for many years, its history is known.
It is now in a large collection of cars and I don't think we are likely to see it any time soon, unless you are fortunate enough to get a private invitation or have been hired to restore it. This "find" was discussed on this Site about 2 years ago. There can be mistakes and omissions on any documents, much more so on hand written lists from 1969. Some of the Mistakes found on the Yenko Inventory Lists: Wrong VIN number listed. Missing VIN number/not listed. Yenko Chevrolet as selling Dealership when it was not. Other Network Dealer when it was sold by Yenko Chevy. I have also heard of the "missing" Yenko inventory page myth, with no validation. |

Plus:
Duplicated VIN #'s, Incorrect/Duplicated stock #'s, Incorrect year info; ie; '67's with '68 stock numbers, All kinds of weird stuff with the original paperwork - hence the monumental effort involved in pulling the data together!

Stefano, It's widley believed that only Vince Emme and perhaps Ed C have 1 page no one else has. Wouldn't the typed 'order number', vin number and the body number all need to be matched in order to have a 100% accurate list

Anyone know if the parts ever made it to the online auction?
I thought it was partsrus.com or something like that. |
