I have little doubt they are 71 covers, what their exact application is i'm not sure of though... My guess is Corvette, but could also be Camaro.

The passenger side cover does use a push-in oil fill cap.

They came off of something that did not have a power booster. The drivers side would have had the slope in the valve cover to clear the booster. Hope that helped some.

"They came off of something that did not have a power booster. The drivers side would have had the slope in the valve cover to clear the booster."

Not true.... many cars, including 69 Camaro b/b came with a driver side valve cover without the "booster slant"

That's a common misconception that is, at least in part, perpetuated by some of the resto houses. Seems like I read somewhere that the slant vs no slant was for the corvette.

On the Camaro, and probably the Chevelle, the wiper motor comes closer to interference with the valve cover, than the booster.

copojoe, not picking a fight here, just wanted to help prevent anyone else from purchasing slanted covers in error. Anyone want to buy an almost new set of repop covers with the slant?

BTW, I have seen several instances of very nice real Yenkos with the slanted covers. Probably installed them before the myth was dispelled. Last time I researched it, the correct ones were not being reproduced. I searched ebay for a year or so, before I found the correct ones. Got several incorrect ones, and some "almost correct" ones (correct for chevelle) before I got the correct ones. Of course then I had them "over-restored" by having them show chrome plated.

PS I've got a couple like the one in the pic. Not sure about the angled wire loom bracket. Also have a couple with the little "silver dollar" flat in the corner.

While on this close subject.....I am trying to draw conclusion about ALL the 1970 LS-6,L-78 and L-34 Chrome Covers being the same, regardless of Car Body......Camaro,Chevelle or Nova. All these engines had the TCS system and would have used the same wire clips on covers. I do not have GGOD pictures now, or would post....These covers ALL I belive had that slanted, flattened, rear corner.
Never seen them, but CRANE Corvette Supply has $450.00 repops..?????
And lastly, has ANYBODY had any success having these covers rechromed to a similar/close appearnce to O.E.M. "flash" chrome????????
UNREAL, What exactly, by what mfg, do you have for sale for how much $$$..Send Private Email if youd like

Thanks...........
