Thanks.
1965 Shelby GT 350. Complete Concours resto by Jim Cowles. All original and NOS parts. Thoroughbred Award. Featured in David Newhardt's new Shelby hard cover book, he had a book signing at SEMA 05, which was kinda cool to get the book signatured. Charley's Super Snake is featured also.

Colin and Charley were instumental in me getting the car, and I feel very fortunate to have it. Chevy in my blood, but really enjoy the Shelby's also.

Colin is especially knowledgeable and a great guy to have as a friend in this hobby/business.

Thanks Bruce, maybe someday I will learn this computer stuff, LOL.

Stuart is being modest.

His new car is an early 2-digit GT350, and one of the top 5 65's in existence. Stu's was the first 65 to win, ever, an MCA Thoroughbred award in 2004(when Charley owned it), Les Quam's 65 was the second one to win one this summer. So, yenko.net members own the only 2 Thoroughbred 65 Shelbys in existence! Pretty good for a Chevy website. LOL

What Stu has also failed to mention is that his car not only is concours correct and won both MCA and SAAC high level awards, but it is also packing heat. Under all that correctness is a hidden weapon - the engine is "done right" and makes over 400hp ! If any of you ever get a chance to hear this baby it is simply awesome. Let's all brow-beat old Stu to bring this thing to SCR9 and do some passes down the old 1320!

Although I was sad to see it leave my garage, I am happy that it stayed "in the family" and am sure Stuart will take good care of it! Just remember Stu, don't stab her unless the front wheels are pointed straight, steer into the skid and keep your foot on the gas!!!! Welcome to the wonderful world of Shelbys.

Enjoy the car!

Colin

Hey Stu...so very cool!

Please read...then re-read the statement above. You need to bring it to SCR9. Congrats on the new ride...it's simply awesome.

BTW-I will PM you my picture posting tutorial...It's fairly easy to do.

When I had the car restored I had the whole exhaust system made a tiny bit bigger. It is meant to look stock but make more hp. The MCA judges didn't notice it but the Shelby judges did. That car depleted Jim Cowles' stash of NOS 65 parts and my wallet.
