Looks like another record price will be set. Does anyone know what color the second car produced was? A guy in Greenville SC had a red one just like the #1 car. It was said that it was one of the prototype cars.

Just like this #1 car with no vinyl top?? That was this car - the second prototype is not known to exist. The vinyl top was correctly installed when Terry Gunter bought it. Floyd Garrett didn't want it when he had it restored even though it originally came with it. Dave

Floyd has a tendency to do this and does not like vinyl tops. I restored his '67 SS427 Impala around 1980 with the original vinyl top. He bought the car and promptly re-restored it without the top, this on a 25,000 original mileage car and less then a year old restoration.
