No I haven't checked nor do I even know how to on Chevy stuff.

Look on the passenger side of the motor in front of the head there is a little pad that sicks out... It should be about 1/2" X 3" or so. On that pad should be some letters and numbers, write down all that you see.. The car looks like it was driven hard, with the slapper bars, no power brakes, and a 4 speed SWEET.. Mark

thanks guys it is a neat car and would be nice to know much more history on it. From what the prior owner said the car was drag raced locally for some time early in its life. I am calling a guy that used to race a ss/aa dart at the same track in the same era. He actually has some footage of the races. We might get some info there. I will get those photos asap.
