Colin, looks like it sold for $41,100: not bad, seeing you had a buy-it-now of $39K

Just shows the power of putting a good car up with a low reserve and a reasonable Buy It Now price. Notice how the winning bidder upped his proxy bid 3 times in the last 10 min.?? 1 more bidder and the car would have done mid-40's or better, IMHO. Regardless, I am happy and the buyer is happy, so a good deal in my mind.
Now I just need to keep sitting on my hands so I don't email all the guys who sent me hate mail about the "ridiculous" buy it now price, and/or the guys that told me I better take their 32k offers because the car wouldn't do more! LOL |

Gotta love the bargain hunters. If you want a particular car...show up with cash at the door, not hot air over the phone. That's how I got mine. I could see a bidding war on the horizon so I drove 50 miles to look at it and bought it on the spot for $18K: a bargain at the time given the original drivetrain and the amazing lack of rust. I see the 71/72 455 HO cars cars going up rapidly since no one can find any affordable 73 SD455s anymore, and few people like the 74 restyling. Congrats on the sale, but mark my word, you will be kicking yourself in a year or two.
