Apparently, since it was an original, it was also "very modified and fully tubbed" from the dealership

An "original" hemi dart would mean that it was one of the actual batch of 75 or so Hemi Darts built by Hurst for Chrysler Corporation back in '68, for Super Stock racing. Modified in this case means that it was cut and hacked to accomodate all the stuff that made it competitive even after 20 years of racing. I believe that when they were delivered to the racers from the factory, they did not have any speedometer cables. My car was a four speed and the aluminum cased, A-833 four speed trans had a steel plug in the speedo gear hole, so there was nothing to hook the cable up to.
