Default Re: Slightly Modified 55 Chevy on Ebay-SOLD?

The whole car was built and painted in Austrailia. I think the paint took about 8 months to do. It comes with the complete display including posters, t-shirts and magazines to sell. Guns are not legal over there so they had to jump through a bunch of hoops to even display the fake machine gun. There is enough display and spare stuff to fill a 20' trailer. Even comes with a set of Rolls Royce tools in a fitted wood box labeled "Rolls Royce tool set # 1". It has a 2 speed Lenco trans and a clutch that will make your leg shake. To put the engine in the car they had to turn it around and drive the car off where the propeller usually is. That meant it was turning the wrong way so they built a offset gearbox that switched direction of the output and sped up the output speed at the same time. The paint lines and rivets were layed out by taking a pic of a real P51 and then projecting it on the side of the car. There are several thousand rivets, each one is three colors and had to be masked three times. The scoop on the hood is shaped like the scoop under the nose of a P51. The windshield had to be ground under water. There are 4 hydraulic rams incorporated into the frame that allows you to lift the car high enough off the ground that you can stand a soda can under each tire.
