When I bought my first 69 Camaro over 20 years ago, it had a Craig stereo system in it. Still have the rear Craig speakers.

In my 63.5 Galaxie 500 I had a Jensen R-430 head unit/amp combo. It was the top of the line stuff from them in the early 80's. Jensen coax 6x9's, and 4.5 surface mount laying near drivers heels. It absolutely pounded Pink Floyd Animals and Scorpions Lovedrive, UFO Strangers...... I mean the rear view mirror would shake so much everything looked like smeared vertical lines. It was the start of a very long love affair with audio I still have today.

I had long speaker wires and could put them in the bed while at the park. My vehicle was a '56 F100 'Vette yellow with a '57 T-bird 312 with blower heads and Isky RPM 300 cam. Forgot best part..was bored to take 4" SBC pistons. ---- Rick

Mine had the round radio tuning face and was mounted under-dash. I even made a wood panel in shop class to replace the stock package tray. Ahh, makes me want to play Misty Mountain Hop... |

[/ QUOTE ] Not quite vintage enough for a lot of guys here, though - the SuperTuner wasn't introduced until 1976! That Round dial was bigger than the height of the radio. Mine had cassette too, it was stolen out of my Nova while I was out drinking a few beers -- errr, while I was working late one night!
