Really like the 64's, My best friend had a hardtop with 330 auto and we did alot of cruising back in Highschool... He got thumped by a chevy wagon, went out and bought a non-title 69 442 for 75.00 bucks and dropped the 455,rear, 4 speed and 4 speed linkage in and that car flew..

Only '69 442 with a factory 455 was the limited production H/O. All other 442s were 400s until the 1970 model year.
If it was a factory two speed auto in '64 it wasn't a 442. |

1964 442 is sold.
Unfortunately I could not get a deal done with the original owner. Its tough to sell a car to someone who paid over 10 times less money new!!!!

Sam,
-----Must have been only a Cutlass (maybe with added 442 emblems) because in 1964 and only 1964 you could only get a true 442 with a 4-yanker. Thats one of the reasons I think Im attracted to them so much........Bill S |
