I did see the 409 run briefly, it was in the lane next to me. Didn't catch much after I passed him. LOL

Must have run pretty good, I think I ran a 12.1 or so on that pass at 116... it was a fun race, much more challenging than racing Charley - yawn.

Thanks Bruce. I've enjoyed every one of your photos, even though I kinda lean toward the big cars. Perhaps someone who ran alongside him has saved their time slip.

Thanks for the extra photos of the car Rick. I also loved seeing "your" sign on display. Having Mark's '68 in front of it was the PERFECT setting!!

Verne I talked to him for a while . He came with a buddy in a Roman red or Honduras maroon (can't remember) , Grey interior 61 Impala with SS trim on it...348/350 4 speed !! The 09 was running low 12's I'm sure but has been in the 11's...lots of real aluminum on the car...he was sorting thru some AFB stuff between runs...it was an automatic.

If somebody knows the number the 409 had at the Reunion, I can sort through my time slips and see what he ran on the one pass I was next to him on. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to meet the owner or get a name either. Cool car all the way - I think it had Raider wheels also?

Since we pitted just across from him, I talked a bit with him about the cars. Neat cars! Don't recall his name, but he had a "Phil Reed" t-shirt on. I haven't seen Phil in years, but I'll bet if you gave him a call, ole' 409 Phil could put you in touch or give you the low down on the car.

The one run I do have on video that I can see the timing tower shows 12.18@119 Kinda blurry but I think that's what it says
