I bought one at a swap cause of the GM #'s. Then realized what it was and started watching, most of the ones I've seen have the GM #. It probably was on the print so it went onto the carb.
Holley chose a model to offer as a standard xxx CFM carb. For whatever reason, they chose the 3310 and made it for years.
