Eactly, giving up your warranty on a new car just for tinkering with it was yet another good reason to own a 55 chev.

hey GRB, my 1969 L78 Camaro came from Central Chevrolet. I talked to the original owner who now lives near Ringgold. I found his name on some papers in the glovebox and did a search. He was very surprised his car was still around. He said he was in the Navy in 1969. He and his dad went looking at new cars. His dad liked to "negotiate" prices with dealers and talked the salesman down, so they bought the car. The car is a fathom green, midnight green vinyl top and standard medium green interior SS 396 with L78. It now has 72,000 miles with most of the original paint. I bought it from a guy in Cumming, Ga. who kept it in his basement.

Bob - makes you wonder how many of our old cars are still out there doesn't it? I would guess your L78 lists for about $3,500-$4,000?

[ QUOTE ]
Somebody's been googling I read that article too [/ QUOTE ] Can you provide a link to that article. I don't live too far away from there and if there were 20 or so 427 cars built by this dealer as stated in the Ebay ad, perhaps some others are still in the area. You never know. ![]() |
