Default Re: LT1 intake, 3972116, Z/28, Yenko Duece, almost NOS

116 intake was only "over the counter", not factory installed on anything. $350.00 is just a bit optimistic.

I take issue, John. $350 is more than a "bit" optimistic, it is WAY optimistic for an over the counter part. Although I guess I could put it on ebay and claim it is an "over the counter high performance part just like a cross ram".

I feel like a real dumb sh!t. I bought my first 69 Z/28 in 1971, and have been around lots of muscle cars since then (obviously not many 2nd gen Z's) and for years thought I had a 1970 intake. Did not know it was strictly over the counter, which makes sense, since that is how I acquired it! Will update the ad on camaros.net.

I will probably just keep it. It is in such good condition and looks better than my 472 intake, so I may even put it on my car or just save it for another project. Guess it would work well for someone doing a "day two" job on a SS 350.

This would have been much more entertaining if some dishonest guy had listed it as having been removed on day 2 from a brand new 70 LT1 engine. Don't you love some of the BS stories you get with parts for sale?

Thanks for the education guys.

Lynn
