[ QUOTE ]
While cleaning up the Sunoco Pump,it had conduit routed with wires & CHICO.As was required by the assembly instructions to prevent any arcing or ignition source. I tried insufferably to pull the wire through, but to no avail.I removed the conduit & inspected it & tried pouring some chemical into it to let the wires loose. No way! I pitched the conduit & replaced the entire assembly. That CHICO is some tough S*** [/ QUOTE ] Is this chico a black bakelite-like substance? I recently stripped my Wayne 60 pump, and eventually found that the stuff could be removed. Of course I had to try damn near everything, but after heating the conduit with a hand-held propane torch I was shocked watch how easily it flowed out. As soon as it cooled off (on the bench) the glob became indestructible again. ![]() HTH. |
