Day 2 ROCKS! Thats the way they were back in the day. Nobody bought a muscle car and left it bone stock. I would sure like to see more of it!

And don't forget to "toss" the original air cleaner in favor of a small chrome one(s), and the required set of S/W gauges under the dash.

Don't forget the Gabriel High Jackers stickers---the ones with the jacked-up jackrabbit doing a burnout...
All the aftermarket speed parts on a "Day 2" car must be from the year the car was built or earlier. No modern parts, wheels, etc., and if you really want to nail it, you gotta' run belted tires. EBay: Look for anything related to "Day-2ing" a car to go sky-high in price. Once this trend takes off prices will too. Day 2, when done right, is and and ![]() |

... Once this trend takes off prices will too. [/quote I don't think it will ever truly take off. Some of us have been into Day 2 for the last twenty years or so.Most people don't quite follow the concept or fall short of the look due to modern aftermaket parts ect....Too most a new set of Summit mags are close enough. Why should they pay 500 for a tach that might not work? If being cool were cheap....everybody would be doing it... Luv the Ol'Skool.... ![]() Steve ![]() |

Try to buy a set of 15-inch 1960's peaked-spoke American TT's, say 15x7. 14-inchers are somewhat plentiful but 15's are, as SK said, "paydirt."
I agree, Day 2 might not become a national fad but it has already become a 'niche' fad among specialized guys like those of us here on Y-net. Try buying a still-in-box SW tach from the '60s. Cha-ching! Even the old $25 Sun Super II tachs are now fetching the bucks. How about Dana/Nickey/etc. welded-together traction bars a-la '67 Camaro? Ka-ching-ching! (Someone should re-pop these.) Once something becomes "cool" the prices almost always reflect it. That's just plain Business 101. Oh, and while many of the guys here at Y-net complain about "ePay," many of those same people watch eBay like hawks, looking for those old Day 2 'ka-ching' items, or anything else for that matter. For the record, I watch eBay for all kinds of stuff. I love eBay. Made money there too! ![]() |
