Living just 30 minutes from Chapel Hill I know what Carolina Blue is. Was the color suppose to relate somehow to the UNC (Tarheel) sports teams?
I always thought it was dealer applied and not squirted from the factory. Someone set me straight please.

Legendary Motors on an episode of Dream Car Garage also had a '69 SS396 Chevelle feature car in Carolina Blue-that's how the color was described-----
