If the car is an original Carolina Blue car, I believe it would have a "- -" as the paint code... no numbers just dashes. I think the same is for any special paint car.

Carolina Blue was probably 69 Olds Powder Blue, Olds paint code 80, PPG code 2096. Don't know if it was available prior to 69, as I haven't seen it as a stock color in any GM line prior to 69.
