Car was owned by local Austin, TX collector Bruce Knierim in the mid 80's. I saw it a number of times locally. It brought nearly $40,000 when he sold it about 20 years ago.
It was a special car then, that was top dollar. |

the openings in the rear are for rear exiting exhaust i wonder if there are clips along the body next to the frame rails and if this car had rear exit exhaust at one time it be nice to take a peak.

I don't see any openings in the rear for rear exhaust. What are you looking at ?

This is a true sidepipe car with supporting paperwork.

Sweet car. At the 03 Bloomington Gold auction there was an L88 car with 11 original miles
That was a very sweet car too. I believe bidding went up to $750,00067 L-88

$750K for a '67 L-88 of that magnitude ( heck any '67 L-88)...seems like a relative bargain in view of this years manic driven BJ auction results....

Those are part of the frame right behind the trans and all the Vettes have them even if they have side exhaust.
